She was more than a little excited that Santa and the Tooth Fairy would be paying her a visit on the same night! I have to admit.....I thought that was pretty cool too.
John David loved playing at Charlie's house with all of his boy toys, but this one was definitely his favorite.

Kristie borrowed this cooker from a friend and fried the turkey in it right on her kitchen counter. We had never seen a cooker like this before, but Aaron and I decided that we need to invest in one. You can use regular oil, instead of the peanut oil, which is much less expensive. And it was so delicious! Aaron did the honors of carving our juicy bird.
We had a wonderful spread of all of our Christmas favorites, including some amazing collards that Jacob and Melissa made. Man I love me some good collards!
After lunch we headed back to Mama's house for presents. I snapped a few pictures before we started opening presents. I love that Katie has all of these girls cousins that are her age.....plus one more who hadn't arrived yet. They were all born within a year of each other.

Then it was time for the present palooza. Funny how you never have to call the kids twice when it's time to open presents.
After all of the gifts were exchanged, we visited for a little while longer before everyone made their way back to their homes to get ready for the arrival of ole' St. Nick!
