Today John David had a Nerf Gun Birthday Party. When he told me a few weeks ago that he wanted a Nerf Gun party I wasn't sure how we'd pull it off. Luck for us, we have a family in our ward who have a ton of Nerf Guns and graciously agreed to let us use them for the day. John David was so excited!
When all the kids got here, we let them each pick a gun.
This was definitely the cutest moment of the day. John's friend, Stella (who he plans on marrying one day), pointed to the gun she liked.
He grabbed it and handed it to her. What a gentleman!
This is the one John David picked out. Even though it was almost as big as him, he loved it!

Then they all had some training.
And then target practice.
John David was cracking me up!
He was so into it!
Then they divided into teams and had a nerf war.
John David was hard core!

.............and just being so stinkin' super cute! He was having a ball!

After the nerf war, they had more training.
The drill sergeant had them doing push-ups.....
.......and belly crawling.
After more training, they were ready for their top secret mission.
OPERATION: CAPTURE THE VILLAIN
They were told about the villain they had to find and given orders to shoot her 20 times.
High fives....and they're off!
It took them a little while, but they finally found and shot her 20 times.
Then the birthday boy opened up his presents.
Then it was time for some cake!
My how I love this sweet boy!
