Christmas Day

The kids woke up early Christmas morning ready to see what Santa had brought them.

John David loved his superheroes!

And his camo blanket from Daddy!

Katie was pretty excited about her new makeup.

And Sarah loved the rings that Santa brought her!

Santa even left an extra gift.

A new home for Turbo!

We spent a few hours checking out everyone's new stuff.

Then Maw Maw and Paw Paw came over and gave the kids some presents....a temple picture for John David that used to be in Daddy's room when he was a little boy.

And a gorgeous temple picture for the girls' room! I LOVE IT!



Paw Paw loved his Packer blanket that Daddy and the kids made for him.

And Maw Maw loved her new calendar.

Then the kids discovered more gifts from Santa! Their bikes that they wanted!

They were so excited about their new bikes!

And had to test them out immediately!

We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon riding all around the neighborhood.

That evening we went to visit Maw Maw Mire.

Then we came home and just relaxed and enjoyed our quiet time together. We were entertained by John David working on his break dancing skills.

Pretty impressive!

Then Katie wanted to show off her skills too.

It was an absolutely merry Christmas Day!

He came!

Santa came!

We were so excited, we almost decided to wake the kids up. Almost. Then we came to our senses......and went to bed!

Getting Ready for Santa

After we got home from our drive, it was time to get ready for Santa. The kids changed into pjs and then they opened their presents from me.













I gave them all games so we can spend more time playing together instead of on electronics.

Then the kids put out some treats for Santa and the reindeer.

And wrote him a quick note.

Then we read we read from our favorite Santa book. It really is the coolest Santa book EVER!

And the waiting begins..................

Christmas Eve, Part 2

This evening we had some friends over. We ate some yummy finger foods, and visited for a while. We were entertained by the kids singing some of their favorite silly songs from their favorite Christmas silly songs book.














Then we went for a drive to look at Christmas lights.

This house with Santa in a pirogue pulled by alligators is one of our favorites.

We really liked this house with the traditional Santa and reindeer too.

 

And look who we saw while we were out looking at lights! He was talking to the kids and handing out candy canes. 

 

Time to head home and get ready for him to come pay us a visit!
