Last Game of the Season

Tonight was Katie's last volleyball game. We have really enjoyed watching her play and cheering her on.



She has really enjoyed playing.



And getting to know the girls on her team.



She has learned and improved so much.





They won the first game.



And the second one too. They played a third game just for fun and won it too.



It was a great way to end the season.

Pumpkin Carving

Since Katie didn't have to go to church tonight, we decided to carve our pumpkins since we didn't do it on Monday like we usually do.



Katie loves to carve pumpkins, but cleaning the pumpkin out......not so much.



Sarah didn't mind it at all though.



And neither did Carolyn.



After we got them cleaned out, we let the girls decide on designs for the pumpkins.



Sarah and Carolyn decided to make up their own design. They didn't want theirs to be too scary.



I think it turned out great.



Katie and Emily picked out a design from the pumpkin carving book. It was supposed to be a scary court jester.



Spooky! Great job girls!

"Punkin Patch"

As I was getting John David dressed this morning, I told him that we were going to the pumpkin patch. He said, "Punkin patch?" He got so excited and talked about the "punkin patch" until we walked out the door.



He was so excited to finally be at the punkin patch. We walked all over looking at all the pumpkins. He even had fun jumping on the empty pallets.



He enjoyed all the games they had there too.





He may have cheated a little on this one. :)





I tried to get him to smile for me, but he wouldn't even look at the camera.



Ignoring me again.



He finally looks my way, but no smiles.



Then he takes off to explore more........and avoid me.











He was glad to see his friend Kate there so I would stop trying to get him to smile for the camera.



After he played with her for a bit, I told him he needed to pick out a pumpkin. So we looked at the big pumpkins.



And we looked at the little pumpkins.



John David really liked the little pumpkins, and quickly picked one out.



He seemed pretty happy with his choice.



Until we saw the little "baby punkins."







He was so excited about his "baby punkin" that I didn't even have to ask him to smile for me.







He loves his baby punkin, and I love my baby punkin too!

Spooktacular Fun

I can't believe that it's less than a week til Halloween. This month has just flown by, but we've been having fun counting down to Halloween. We have made jello brains........
