One Year Older...and Wiser Too

Today was my sweet husband's birthday.



We celebrated with his parents and some friends.



I love this man to pieces, and am so grateful to share my journey with him!

More Target Practice

We went up to our friend Donna's today for some more target practice. Aaron bush hogged part of the field first.



John David was scared of the loud tractor, so he sat with Maw Maw till Daddy was done.



When Daddy was done, everyone took their turn shooting skeet.









Ryan shot his new gun.



And John David took his turn shooting his new gun too.



Then Paw Paw invented a new game for the kids.



Instead of skeet shooting.......skeet catching.





It was pretty entertaining to watch.



They each wanted to keep the skeet they caught/found like they were trophies or something.



Sarah was the skeet catching champ.



Then we watched this guy take his turn shooting skeet.



He's pretty amazing.



In more ways than one!

Christmas Pictures

I decided to take advantage of the beautiful scenery this afternoon and take some pictures of our sweet babies for our Christmas cards.



Aaron had a great idea to put the kids on the tractor, but John David was not happy at all about that. He loves tractors........as long as they aren't turned on.

But even all the kisses just weren't enough to make him happy on the tractor.



So he took off.



So I took some individual shots. I can't believe how much my Katie is growing.



And my sassy little Sarah....growing like a weed too.



And my sweet boy......he wouldn't look at the camera, but we did get a smile out of him.



Such a handsome and sweet little guy!



He finally gave me his mischievous grin. Love it!



We tried to get him to get in this shot, but he was done with the tractor.



But the girls were lovin' the tractor posing!

Letters to Santa

We sat down and wrote our letters to Santa this afternoon. Katie had a list of 10 things. Wow. She helped John David write his letter. All he asked for was a hammer. How cute!



Princess Sarah only asked for three things: an ipad, a kindle fire, and a mermaid barbie. One out for three isn't bad, huh?



Here's hoping my girls aren't too sad on Christmas morning.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

We got the Christmas decorations out tonight and danced around as we put them up. I found my most favorite Christmas music ever on CD last year after Christmas for like two dollars. What a steal!



I love that my kids love it too!



John David is totally into decorating this year. He's been so much fun to watch. He loves wearing this Santa hat.



After we got finished decorating the tree and the kids took baths, I gave them their Christmas pjs and took some pictures of their cuteness.



They were cracking me up.













John David wasn't as excited about the little photo shoot as the girls were.





But we finally got some cute ones.



I love this one!



We're looking forward to Christmas with our sweet babies!

He's back!

Our elf on the shelf, Freddie, made his first appearance today.



The girls are so excited that he is back.



So they're trying to be on their best behavior.



Why can't he just stay all year long? Seriously!?
