The Six Little Cajun Pigs

We went to school today to see Sarah's class play. They performed "The Six Little Cajun Pigs". It was so super cute! They sang cute songs.



Danced to cajun music.











And then the story began. The mama and daddy pigs decided it was time to send their six little pigs out into the world. So they all hugged mama and daddy goodbye.



The first two pigs built a house for themselves out of straw.



And the next two pigs built their house out of sticks.



And the last two pigs were super smart and built themselves a house out of bricks.







The other pigs laughed at them for building their house from bricks, but they just kept on building.



Then along came a mean old alligator "swimming in the bayou".





She went to the first two pigs' house and knocked it right over with her big tail.



So they ran over to the next two pigs' stick house.



But that gator knocked that house right over too.



So all those pigs ran over to the last two pigs' brick house. They were busy making a big pot of gumbo.



So that mean old mama gator followed those pigs to the brick house and threatened to knock it over if they didn't let her in.



But no matter how hard she tried, she could knock that brick house over.



She finally gave up. As she walked away, the piggies laughed at her.



And then they celebrated with more singing and dancing.



It was the cutest play ever!



I made them some piggie cupcakes to celebrate their awesome performance.



Sarah has really enjoyed being in Mrs. Clark's class this year. We have enjoyed her too because she is an amazing teacher.



Sarah's friend Gabby played the alligator. She was the perfect alligator, and was so funny.



But the blonde little piggies were definitely my favorite!



After the play Mrs. Clark handed out awards to her class.



Sarah got an award for her AR points.



And one for good citizenship.



And one for making Honor Roll all year.



We are so pleased with our beautiful soon-to-be third grader!
