Spring Break Week

Since the girls had spring break this week, we tried to squeeze in something fun everyday. Here are the highlights.

MONDAY
Since we didn't get to do everything on our Easter countdown, we finished up this morning. We dyed more Easter eggs. My kiddos just love dying eggs......and eating them too!

John David was so into the egg dying this year.

We also made confetti eggs. They were so much fun, and a huge hit with the kids. We will definitely make more of these next year. Here's Katie cracking her first one on her head.

Then Sarah was going to give it a try.

But I missed seeing her crack hers on her head because I was watching to see what John David was doing.

So then he tried to crack his on his head.

But he couldn't, so he tried squishing it in his hands instead.

He was pretty excited when it finally worked.

Then they grabbed the eggs that were stuffed with something else.

He tried squishing it in his hands again.

When that didn't work, his sisters told him to step on it.

And that worked. They were pretty excited to find candy inside, and I just assumed that we'd do all candy eggs next year. But they informed me that they liked the confetti eggs a lot and want to make those again too.

And tonight I took the girls to see a movie they have been "dying" to see.

And just in case you were wondering, there are perks to going to see an Easter movie after Easter. We had the theater to ourselves. There was lots of laughing, and there may or may not have been some dancing going on during our private showing. We had a great time.

Tuesday

After Daddy got home from work Tuesday afternoon, we went down to Holly Beach with the Gibsons. It was a little bit windy. See how you can't see the tire tracks go all the way through? Yeah, that's the sand blowing across the ground.

It was more than a little crazy.

So crazy this little princess wouldn't even get out of the truck.

And Katie was worried that the wind was going to blow Bailey away, and tried to hold her the entire time.

So after we ate our sandy burgers, we came back to our house to find refuge from the wind and to hang out a little while longer. Fun times.

Wednesday

Today we had lunch in the park with the Gibsons. No pictures available, but a fun time was had by all. All three of my kiddos came home filthy and went straight to the bathtub to clean up. After I got John David down for a nap and Aaron got home, I took the girls to get the feather locks they have been wanting. They are apparently all the rage, although I don't get it. But they were thrilled. They used their report card money to pay for them. They both got two each, but you can't see Katie's dark greenish one in this picture.
