False Start

In sports, a false start is a movement by a participant before (or in some cases after) being signaled. That's what I feel like we've had for 2011. Each year I always have new goals for myself and my family that I try to implement during the first week of January. But not this year. We have all been sick....and I mean all of us. We have had sinus infections, flu, ear infections, colds, coughs, etc. So I have been struggling just to make it day to day for the last couple of weeks and I feel like I have missed out on my new year's fresh start. So I'm calling a do over, and we are starting our new year's goals and such next week and pretending like we haven't missed out on the first two weeks of the year. So there mister false start! Take that! Now I feel better.

I really like starting things at the "right" time--on the first day of the week or the month or whatever. But that justs ends up with me procrastinating until the "perfect" time. So I think you're totally fine to start just now or whenever. Sorry you guys have been sick. Sounds like our fall...and now winter. Ugh. I would send healthy vibes your way, but I don't think I have any to send. :)

Sorry you guys are feeling bad. Doesn't it seem like it's a constant thing these days. Hope you feel better soon.
